Burberry The New Craftsman, The Makers House, London 2016

Burberry, The New Craftsmen, The Makers House, London 2016
In a back street London studio space, the New Craftsmen luxury artisans were at work at The Makers House for Burberry. An inspiring 7 day show featuring sculptural artists, theatrical readings, and experimental design capturing the very essence of the Burberry brand. The show touched on how significant Burberry is in terms of British fashion history; the signature trench coat, gabardine fabric used for the British military as well as patch working demonstrations using the latest Burberry runway fabrics. Jamesplumb created an art installation 'reading steps' beautifully curated as a reflective reading space. What a wonderful exhibition, and insight into the true Burberry archives.
